Joe Hogsett Mows His Own Lawn

Joe Hogsett has another TV commercial for his Indianapolis mayoral campaign. This time we hear from his wife, Stephanie, who tells us Joe insists on mowing their yard, won't buy a car with power windows or door locks, wears 30-year old sneakers and has a pair of 40-year old basketball shoes. Yeah, it's that kind of a campaign.

The more I know about Indy's next mayor and his smary self image, the happier I am to be heading to a different time zone.

This is the best Hogsett can do? Of course it isn't.

Mr. Hogsett could instead take the intellectual high road and make substantive, definitive statements about what Joe Hogsett will do about the illegal Greg Ballard Blue Indy battery powered rental car business which we are informed broke civil and criminal laws, what Joe Hogsett will do about the illegal Vision Fleet deal, what Joe Hogsett will do about the vastly unused and empty bicycle lanes which disrupt the smooth flow of traffic, etc.

Instead, the Democrat candidate offers warm and fuzzies... makes me wonder if there is a Bose McKinney partner/employee restriction about public discourse regarding legal advice and billing for crony deals such as the aforementioned. Simply asking the question that comes to mind when a candidate seems to refuse to discuss the substantive.

If I even vote, I'm going to write in "None of the Above".

I like him. But I wish we had a better city council. I wish all of them could be "at large" candidates so we could all vote on every council seat. Maybe we need a 1 term limit for council members so we always have new blood instead of the same old politicians. Same with the General Assembly. I just hate that we keep electing the same politicians over and over.

Really? Stinky 40 year old sneakers? Why would anyone think that ad would appeal to voters? Being "cheap" is completely different than being conservative.

What's interesting is that THIS house looks nothing like 'our house' shown in a previous ad (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9uMLU2J8SI) nor does it look like the house that indy.gov actually lists as his home.

Who's yard is he actually cutting? It's certainly a smaller and much more modest one that his $225,000 Washington Twp home.

The "our house" in that previous ad is the house where he grew up in Rushville I believe. This smaller house shown in the current ad is located up on North College. I thought he lived in a much nicer house than this one at one time, but that may have been a home in which he lived during one of his prior marriages. I also thought he used to drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee instead of that modest 4-door sedan, but I could be wrong.

Cute but not Hogsett's house. Pure sleaze.

He lives in a very nice house on E. 82nd and that's not shown in the ad. More obfuscation from Hogsett.
